Woman Ascending features three pieces, each consisting of a woven composition with a small figurine of women in various states of ascending the textile. Klein manipulates scale, creating soft architecture which the figures inhabit, while exploring feminist themes. Klein wove these pieces on frame looms using materials sourced while living in Buenos Aires: Chorisera, a cotton string used to tie sausages, and vintage textiles from flea markets.
