Sheila Klein was in residence at McColl Center for Visual Art in conjunction with her commission for the creation of Skyon Tryon, a public art project integrated into the City of Charlotte's North Tryon Corridor streetscape improvement project. While in residence, Klein presented a series of temporary art installations and community engagement activities as well as met with residents, community leaders, and city planners in order to investigate and inform her design for the project.
